Where the watermark idea comes from
On some platforms a logo is drawn over the video during playback and, in a few cases, baked into the file. On Dailymotion the site logo you may see in the player is an interface element, not part of the video data. When you fetch the source file, the player's overlay is simply not in it.
What that means for your file
- If the uploader posted a clean video, your saved file is clean — with no processing step needed.
- If the uploader's own video contains a logo or a caption, that is part of the content and it stays. No tool should erase it.
- "Watermark removal" is therefore not a feature here; it is a non-issue for source files.
Step by step
1Copy the video linkFrom the Dailymotion page.
2Paste it into VidMotionThe available source versions are listed.
3Pick a version and saveYou get that version's file, audio included, exactly as the source provides it.
One thing that does follow the file: whatever the uploader put in the video — their own logo, a lower-third, a channel bug — remains. That is their content, not a platform overlay.
Honest limits
- Dailymotion links only.
- The file matches the source; nothing is added and nothing is erased.
- Up to 30 minutes and 500 MB per file.
